We started planning this before the wedding, trying to get our leave to work. In the end I managed to carry over quite a few days of leave and we got our January dates approved.
As it turns out, January is a good time to visit Italy! Its actually a low season, so all the hotels and B&Bs have cut their prices in order to compete for the few visitors at that time of year. For instance, we managed to get a very interesting boutique B&B, Settimo Cielo, for almost half the usual price!
Of course, it also means we're dealing with near zero degree temperatures! For me, it will be my first winter ever! Sherm of course, has experienced Japan's winter, and is looking forward to it with glee.. -_-;; This is all very exciting for us though! And Shermaine has been happily helping me plan my winter wear, ensuring that I've got enough layers, and a few sets of Uniqlo Heat Tech wear!
So apart from Rome, Perugia, Venice, Lucca, Buti (where we hope to be able to catch a traditional festival cum horse race) and Florence, we're also taking some time to check out the eclectic Amsterdam. In order of importance, we've shortlisted the locations, got the hotels, and now we're doing the .... FOOD RESEARCH! haha.. it's always about food when it comes to us =D~

We got married!
After 7 years of dating, we finally got hitched on the 4th of December 2011. Sherm's now living with me - we've redone my room for the temporary stay till our 4-room is completed in 2014/15. Its been a nice 3 weeks I must say! =)
