On recommendation from my cousin Gideon, I'm giving Tumblr a try. Let's see how this helps in anyway.

Narcissa
yup my little girls are still alive =) It's been abt 2 years already, and they've lost a bit of hair on their little leggies and bum area (especially Narci), but they're still cute as ever, and haven't lost their charm. Sherm pointed out that they probably don't run on their wheel as much anymore (yup), eat less (uh huh), and they probably getting a little less sprightly (true too). So yes, they're probably no longer the little girls they once were, more like granny hammies now, but they'll always be 'my girls'.

Head On
Stole these pics from the Club Snap forum.. Just wanted to keep an image of this:

This is an installation piece at the National Museum of Singapore by Mainland Chinese artist, Cai Guo-Qiang. Considered one of the most important contemporary international artists today, he has been exhibited in major institutions around the world including, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Tate Museum in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
The life-sized wolves are not real. The bodies are resin cast stuffed with hay while the fur is actually painted sheepskins.
The exhibition piece was commissioned by Deutsche Bank AG and is meant to depict the deep and intractable historical issues still faced by the East and West Germans after reunification. Although the Berlin wall has long been demolished, the artist is trying to remind people that invisible walls are the hardest to dismantle.

Natalie
Chinese New Year is a nice time, cos its when I get to spend a lot of quality time with my relatives. We're especially close and as I grow older, I do tend to look back at the way we interact, and how it has changed over the years.

For my little niece Natalie, its only the beginning for her. I hope that when she gets older, she will look back and recollect her memories of us with fondness.

Some shots with an old Nikon film camera

Maxwell Road Food Centre - a place to find a wide variety of great, cheap food, and S$0.50 black coffee still exists.
Shot with a Nikon FM2n.

My 'brook'. Tried to 'freeze' the water with this shot, it was really fast-flowing that day.
Shot with a Nikon FM2n: @ Upper Pierce Reservoir.
I was trying to decide whether I preferred the clean look of the Canon 500D + old Nikon legacy lens versus the grainy look of the FM2n + same lens, and I must say, its quite hard to choose. In the end, I must admit that perhaps the film pictures have an edge. Whether its that you get very decent dynamic range, or that the colours are a little artsy, or that grain.. the film camera produces images that have that certain 'character', whereas the DSLR pics only have sharpness.
